Omega accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior at a very early age. She was a faithful member of Mt. Zion AME Zion Church until her health failed. She loved the church and faithfully served in various capacities including: Usher and Trustee Boards, Steward and Stewardess Board, Missionary Board, Sunday School Teacher, and Honorary choir member.
During her leisure she enjoyed shopping, cooking for her family, canning, and especially baking cakes for family and friends! One was sure to receive her homemade cakes throughout the year and especially during the holiday season!
Omega loved her children and grandchildren and they loved her. After church on Sunday afternoons, everybody was at Grandma “Meka’s” for dinner and sweet tea! We honor her memory today by wearing hats, her favorite fashion accessory!
