Norma Jean Rogers was born on December 11, 1951, to the late parents of Marie and Norman Kelly.

Norma Jean attended Phickney and Union Pines High School in Carthage, North Carolina. She worked as a seamstress and cook until her injuries. She loved communicating with Ava Johnson and Oglatha Kelly on a regular basis and they could not be separated. She was a devoted wife to her husband Otis Rogers, and wonderful mother to her daughters, grandchildren, great grandchildren and siblings.

She was a faithful member of Gods House of Prayer Ministry in Vass, North Carolina for many years. She loved the Lord and understood the importance of fellowshipping and past that love onto her children and grandchildren.

She leaves to cherish her memories: A loving husband and three daughters; Mr. Otis Rogers, Mrs. Belinda (Jerrold) Smith, Ms. Teresa Harris, and Ms. Anita Finch, her siblings: Mr. W. Freddie  (Apostle Mary) Kelly Sr., Mr. Colon Lee Kelly, Mrs. Betty Lambert, Ms. Carolyn Wilkins, and Ms. Mary Frances Daniel; Four grandsons; Mr. Bryon Smith, Mr. Christopher (Rodnekka) Smith, Mr. Isaiah Harris and Mr. Raykwon Smith; Four great grandchildren; Christina Smith, Levi Smith, Harmony Smith and Cherish Jean Smith; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and lastly her loving goddaughter Zoey Kelly.
