Miss Johnnie Mae Shaw was born on June 15, 1926 to the late John Chalmers and Pearl Rae Shaw in Carthage, North Carolina. She entered into eternal rest on Saturday, October 20, 2018, at First Health Hospice House, Pinehurst, NC.

 She received her education at Pinckney High School, Carthage, NC. She worked in the manufacturing field until she retired.

 She loved going to church, caring for her grandchildren, fishing, yard sales and going to the games with her grandchildren.

 She was proceeded in death by 3 grandchildren: Barbara McLaughlin, Alice Lowe, and Tears Rogers; four brothers: Henry, Willie Clyde, Edward, and Bonnie Shaw; and one sister Betty McAllister.

She leaves to cherish her memories, one daughter: Marria Uzzell, Carthage, NC; three sons: Ralph Shaw (Mae), Raleigh, NC; Ernest Shaw (Francies), Georgia; and Bobby Shaw, MD; one brother Fred Shaw and one sister Mildred Shaw both of Carthage, NC; 14 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; 9 great great grandchildren; Care-takers of the home: Michelle Uzzell, Treven, Jaheem, and Shanel; one god child Marlene Goins and her two children; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
