John Wilbert Person, son of the late Ernest and Hattie Person, was born on January 16, 1937, in Moore County, North Carolina. He left his earthly home on July 10, 2017 peacefully.

After graduating high school, John later moved to New York and began working as a furniture delivery man. Then he took on a position at Sotheby's as a supervisor where he retired. He later moved back to Robbins, North Carolina. It was in Robbins where John met and married Dorothy Brown (Lucille).\

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of fourteen years, Dorothy Person; three sons, John, David, and Patrick (Camille); Two daughters, Angela and Sonya, both of Greensboro North Carolina; five stepchildren, siblings, sixteen grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; two aunts and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
