Gracie Almeta (Martin) McNeill Obituary

Gracie Almeta McNeill was born April 3, 1928 to Edward And Josephine Martin in Moore County. Early Saturday morning, February 6, 2021 she peacefully entered eternal rest as her Heavenly Father called her home.


          Almeta as she was causally known graduated from Pinckney High School in 1945. She was a homemaker and provided a helping hand in raising all of her grandchildren, great grandchildren and reached out to all in the neighborhood.


Almeta attended Mt. Zion and Red Hill during her many years and accepted Christ later in life. During her leisure time, she enjoyed quilting, taking care of her roses, word find books, crossword puzzles, repairing lamps and watching HGTV.


She was preceded in death, by her husband Luther McNeill, Sister; Vilena Brown, Viola Elliott, Linda McCoy and brother James Martin.


          Almeta leaves to cherish her memory, Bobbie McNeill (Alice) of Cameron, NC, Diann McNeill of Carthage, NC, Celesta Stewart (Rev. Kenneth Stewart) of Taylortown, NC, Rev. Theresa Nagy (Edward) of Carthage, NC, Sharon Caselberry (Harold) of Fayetteville, NC, Felecia McNeill of Carthage, NC, Ricky McNeill of Carthage, NC and Laura Wallace (Phillip) of Pinehurst, NC, sixteen grandchildren. Twenty-one great grandchildren, brothers: Lee Daniel Martin (Bonnie) of Asheboro, NC, Alton Martin of Carthage, NC, sisters: Bernice Williams (Sam) of Carthage, NC, Blanchie Lewis of Randleman, NC and Darlene Martin of Charlotte, NC and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
