Esther McKinnon

Esther Marie McKinnon was born on November 20, 1926 to her loving mother Willie Mae McKinnon.  She worked in Food Services at Union Pines High School and housekeeping with the Palomino Hotel.

Esther was a kind soul who cared deeply for her family and would always make the point to talk about her beautiful grandchildren.  She especially enjoyed introducing her family members to the staff and residents of Magnolia Gardens.  In her later years, Esther was known to enjoy a good home cooked meal along with the occasional guilty pleasure of cake and candy.  Esther was a sweet and gentle spirit who will forever be missed by all those who have ever had the pleasure to sit and talk with her.

Esther is preceded in death by her daughter Carolyn Frye, siblings Emma Louise Pelham, Yvonne and James Allen McKinnon.  Left to cherish Esther’s memory is (Son) Edgar McKinnon, (Sister) Bessie Lee McKinnon, (Nieces) Dot McKinnon & Anita Jeffery,

family and friends who loved her.
