Dexter Lee White, was born to the late Theresa Mae White and Clarence White on November 1, 1953. He departed this life peacefully on august 13, 2021, at First Health Moore Regional Hospital.

He was reared in Cameron, North Carolina and graduated from Union Pines High School in June 1971. Dexter was an outstanding athlete. He lettered in both track and basketball. He received perfect attendance for three years while attending Union Pines High School. Dexter served in the United States Arm Forces and was honorably discharged on May 16, 1978. He was a faithful member of Fellowship House of God, Inc in Carthage, NC. Dexter was entrusted with sharing many of his beautiful poems to the congregation.

He leaves to cherish his memories, Stepfather, Robert of the home; son Travis of Atlanta, GA; brother David of York, PA, sister Deborah of Capitol Heights, MD; nephew Terrell (Keisha) of Myrtle Beach, SC; two great nephews, Deshawn of Fayetteville, NC and Ace of Myrtle Beach, SC; a special cousin Grover of Washington DC and a Host of relatives and friends.
