Mr. Curtis L. Patterson Sr., son of the late Herbert and Lottie M. Patterson, was born on March 28, 1929 in South Carolina. He departed this life on Tuesday February 11, 2020 at his residence. He confessed his faith in Christ and was a loving and devoted husband, father, and friend. He spent most of his adult life working at Tremont Farms. He was united in holy matrimony to the late Gladys J. Patterson on October 25, 1951 and to this union eight children were born.

Two daughters preceded them in death and left to mourn their loss is one daughter, Jean D. Patterson of the residence, five sons Curtis L. Patterson Jr. (Connie), James M. Patterson (Cathi), Carl T. Patterson and David L. Patterson all of Southern Pines, NC. Minister Larry S. Patterson (Angela) of Danville, VA. One brother preceded him in death, James F. Patterson. Also left to mourn his loss is two sisters in law Elizabeth T. Patterson and Geneva Cobbs, of Southern NC two brothers in law, Frank P. and Thomas Oscar Jones (Jeri) of Southern Pines, NC eight grandchildren twelve great children and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
