Catherine Cole

Ms. Catherine Thomas Cole, daughter of the late David Lee and Catherine Thomas was born on October 8, 1938 in Hoke County, North Carolina. She was educated in the Hoke County School System.

Catherine was a proud lady and loved to help others, she had a passion for serving and cooking. She will be remembered for her great “spinach Dip”. Catherine was employed with Penick Village Senior Living, Southern Pines, NC, she retired after thirty years of dedicated service. In 1965, Catherine married the love of life Mr. John Charles Cole.

Catherine loved the lord and was not afraid to let the world know it. She was a faithful and devoted member of Total Praise & Deliverance Church of God Founded by Jesus Christ, Catherine served on many boards to include the Mother Board, Nursing Department, Church Usher and Choir Member, she was excited and eager to help anywhere she was needed.

Catherine departed earthly home on Friday, April 10, 2020 at First Health Palliative Hospice Facility in Pinehurst, NC. Her son Laverne, husband Charles, three brothers and two sisters all preceded her in death: Brothers: David Jr, William and Louis: Sisters: Hattie Thomas and Julia Mae McNeill.

Catherine leaves to cherish her memories; Four sisters: Jerri Clark and Annie L. Adams of Bowie, MD, Geraldine Thompson (Roger) and Angela Mason of Fayetteville, NC. Four brothers: Theotis Thomas, Rockingham, NC, Tyrone Thomas (Alvita), Eric Thomas (Pamela) of Aberdeen, NC and Stevie Thomas (Demetra) of California. Three sisters-in-law: Beatrice Thomas of Raeford, NC, Louise Thomas of Southern Pines, NC and Virginia Thomas of Elizabethtown, NC; a host of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
