On August 13, 2017 Betty Louise Shaw McAllister departed this life at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, North Carolina at 10:45 am. Betty was born to the late John Chalmers and Pearlie Shaw on December 8, 1935.

                She was proceeded on death by her husband James A. McAllister Sr. two daughters Thurla McAllister and Sherline Milton, and four brothers, Henry, Willie, Clyde, Edward, and Bonnie Shaw and one grandson Keno Milton.

                Betty love reading her bible and helping others, she loved to singing in the choir, she loved her grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

                She leaves to mourn James A McAllister of Rolla Missouri, Betty A. Bethune of Southern Pines, NC and John A. McAllister of Carthage, NC. Two sister’s Johnny Mae Shaw and Mildred Shaw both of Carthage, NC. One brother Fred Shaw, Carthage, NC. Ten grandchildren Janesha Moore, Tjwonna Prince, Denetta Bethune, Natasha Bethune, Rhonda Bethune, DeMario Terry, Stephon Smith, Mandisa McAllister, Trevor McAllister. Fifth teen great grandchildren and a host of cousin’s and nieces and nephews. ladies who were dear friends to her who she truly loved Dorothy Muldrow, Faye Smith and Ruth Brower.
