Ossie Mae Morgan was born June 14, 1933 in Moore County, North Carolina to the late Willie James and Phebia Alston, Ossie was preceded in death by her husband Bryant Morgan. Ossie was a member of Stoney Hill Free Baptist Church of Carthage, North Carolina and served on the usher board for several years, until her health began to decline.

Ossie was unique in many ways, and if you knew her or just had the pleasure of being in her presence there was never a dull moment.She attended Wayside School in Carthage, North Carolina and later pursued a career with St. Joseph of the Pines for several years.

She leaves to mourn her loving daughter Sarah Long, Carthage, North Carolina. Three grandchildren; James Morgan (Wanda), Aberdeen, North Carolina, Tonya Morgan of Winston Salem, North Carolina and Yvette Jackson of Charlotte, North Carolina. Three great grandchildren. Jayme Belk (Quentin), Carthage, North Carolina, Shakira Jackson, Troy, North Carolina and Lakesha Jackson of Charlotte, North Carolina. One great great grandson, Jeremiah McBride, Troy, North Carolina. One brother Paul Austin(Juanita), Cheltenham, Maryland. Two sisters Adja Terry, Aberdeen, North Carolina and Margaret Chapman (Beauford), New York; nine nieces Amy, Michelle, Rosie, Erica, Robin, Norma, Jean, Reola and Donna. Six nephews; Norman, Paul Jr, Ivan, Billy, Marvin and Dave. A special friend Marie Gladden of Sanford, North Carolina and a host of other relatives and friends.
