Marquese Donte Steadwell

  Marquese Donte Steadwell was born April 8, 1993 and was raised with love by his mother, Christa, and grandmother, Hattie. He departed this earth December 2, 2019.

  Marquese is survived by his parents (Christa Steadwell and Tyrone Reynolds), father figure (Charles Quick), his children (Leiony Steadwell, Marquese Steadwell, Jr.), his grandmothers (Hattie Steadwell, Denise Roberts-Trujillo, and Gladys Smith), his maternal siblings (Mia Steadwell, Jayla Steadwell, Gregory Gay and Kyleigh Davis), paternal siblings, godparent (Amaryllis Williams) and a host of great-aunts, great- uncles, aunts, uncles, and a nephew and cousins.

  Marquese played basketball in middle school, high school and AAU. He also participated in extracurricular programs at Mt. Olive AMEZ Church and St. Johns COGIC as a youth. Marquese embraced the birth of his first child and was a doting parent. He was in a loving relationship with Cosima Mitchell and they bore his namesake and will soon welcome a new blessing soon.

  Marquese was a charming, good hearted young man who left a lasting impression on everyone he met. He never left the presence of his grandmother without a kiss and a hug. He will be deeply missed by family, friends and all who knew him.
