Linda was born in Carthage, NC on January 28, 1950 to the late Edward and Josephine Martin. Carol as she was affectionately called graduated from Union Pines High School in Carthage, NC. Carol enjoyed sewing which was her hobby and passion. For many years she would make outfits for many friends and family.
Carol was preceded in death by her grandson Quincy J. Davis, her sisters Vilena Brown, Lillie Viola Martin-Elliott and brother James “Sonny Boy” Martin.
As Carol departs this earthly life she leaves one son: Rodney L. Martin of Jackson Hamlet, NC and two daughters Tonya L. Slayton of Portsmouth VA and Dubiesa “Duby” Roberson of Macon, GA. One granddaughter Katly C. Roberson and two great granddaughters Klhoe C. Roberson and Kynadi N. Roberson. One grandson Cameron C. Person and one great grandson Quincy O. Person. Hers sisters, Almeta McNeil, Bernice Williams (Sam) both of Carthage, NC, Blanchie Lewis of Asheboro, NC, Darlene Martin of Charlotte, NC, brothers Lee Daniel “Pete” Martin (Bonnie) of Asheboro, NC and Alton “BoBo” Martin of Carthage, NC, and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends.
