Mrs. DeJuana C. Allbrooks was the beloved daughter of Harvey Brooks and the late Phillis Walker Brooks. DeJuana was born in Chatham County on July 1, 1970 and was called home on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at Reid Heart Center Pinehurst, NC.
DeJuana was in the 1988 graduating class of North Moore High School. She was employed at Cookout, Aberdeen, NC and Super 8 Motel, Aberdeen, NC. Her church home was New Zion A.M.E. Zion Church Robbins, NC.
She is survived by her husband, Edward Allbrooks; son Jerrelle Brooks of Aberdeen, NC and daughter Erica Brooks of Southern Pines, NC; her father Harvey (Vicki) Brooks of Siler City, NC; sisters Tonia B. Dunn, Raleigh, NC, Camiller Brooks, Siler City, NC and Takita Legrand of Jersey City, NJ; two Brothers: Marcus (Callie) Brooks of Liberty, NC and Matthew (Sonia) Brewer of Reidsville, NC; two Aunts: Joyce (Vergil) Shamberger of Robbins, NC and Margaret Pearl Brooks of Siler City, NC; three Uncles: Robert Brooks of Virginia, William Brooks of Asheboro, NC and Larry Brooks of Japan; five grandchildren: Isaiah, Liah’sia, Ah’mari, Grayson and Ah’Lyia all of Aberdeen and Southern Pines, NC; five nieces and four nephews; one special God Brother: Darius Spencer; her mother- and father- in-law: Rosa Covington (Clayton) of Carthage, NC and Willie Allbrooks of Aberdeen, NC; sister- & brother-in-laws Monik Gillespie of Carthage, NC, Steven Gillespie and Patrick Stubbs both of Carthage, NC, Anjelique Young (Bot) of Southern Pines, NC and Zarhia Allbrooks of Aberdeen, NC; Grandparents-in-law: Prentice & Hattie Gillespie of Carthage and Dorothy Allbrooks of Southern Pines.
