Beatrice Harris Spotts was born on July 30,1936 to the late Zachary and Christine Stubbs Harris in Liberty, North Carolina. She departed this life on April 27, 2018 at Peak Resources Pinelake, Carthage, North Carolina. She married Carl Covington, a.k.a. Skin, who proceeded her in death and then remarried, Jessie Spotts.
She was raised in Moore County, North Carolina by her grandmother Aggie Stubbs. She attended Pinckney High School in Carthage. She later moved to Brooklyn, New York where she became a caregiver to several families. She also traveled with families that she cared for to Florida and managed their homes. She was known as the lady who always sat on the porch waving to people that passed by weather she knew them of not. She was always willing to lend a helping hand when ever she could. She had two special nephews and a special niece Anthony, A.C.Jr. and Robin Harris whom she adored. She always loved attending and betting horses at the race track and playing the lottery.
She had one brother to proceed her in death, Johnny Harris. Family that she leaves to cherish her memories: one brother, Raymond (Yvonne Harris, Rocking ham, NC, one sister Mary (A.C.) Ray, Carthage, NC. Two sisters-in-law, Bernice Ledbetter Harris, Brooklyn, NY and Mary Perry Harris, Warrenton NC. One aunt Alberta Morrison, Winston Salem, NC and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
